About Paula M. Joachin, Esq.

Paula has worked with both detained and non-detained clients throughout Southern California. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Spanish Literature from the University of California, Berkeley. During her undergraduate career she volunteered at The East Bay Sanctuary where she assisted undocumented persons seeking asylum protection. In law school, she interned at the Employee Rights Center and at the office for the Alternate Public Defender. A graduate of California Western School of Law, Paula attended law school for the sole purpose of becoming an immigration attorney. As an immigrant herself she understands first-hand the struggles that immigrants face on a daily basis. She brings this awareness and compassion to every case.

In her free time, Paula enjoys San Diego’s beaches and local farm-to-table restaurants as well as spending time with friends and family in northern California.
